Can an always-tardy garlic mogul and a punctual Silicon Valley librarian fall in love?

The world needs garlic and somebody’s got to sell that garlic. Cedric Johnson is that man. But even though he’s got just about everything he can wish for, Cedric is still missing one thing in his life: someone special. Fate may be on his side, but he encounters a few distractions along the way—like almost being killed by a UPS truck. Oh, and a little case of blackmail.

Ellie Fontaine is a walking Wikipedia with clear professional goals, but when it comes to landing Mr. Right, she doesn’t know jack squat. She gives online dating a shot, but ends up with an unappetizing buffet of unibrows and losers. What’s a girl to do?

After Ellie saves Cedric’s life, serendipity takes over as they continue to run into each other. Their connection grows stronger with each meeting, even though he embodies her number one pet peeve: he’s always late. But even if they can get past their issues and misunderstandings, Ellie’s ex-boyfriend, an unscrupulous cop, will do anything to keep them apart.

FIVE MINUTES LATE is a hilarious fast-paced romantic comedy, full of snappy dialogue and fun, quirky characters, guaranteed to warm your heart.

GBT Featured Book Review: Apex by Robert Parker

Apex: A Ben Bracken Thriller
Robert Parker (Author)
( 6+ Reviews )

“Apex” by Robert Parker is a knuckle-biting crime thriller that will have readers hanging to the edge of their seats. And no wonder – Apex is sequel to the Amazon Crime Fiction Top Ten Bestseller, “The Baby and the Brandy”. Robert Parker has proven himself a skilled crime fiction writer with both books, both of which follow the adventures of Ben Bracken, a charismatic patriot with the skills of the Navy SEALs, or as he refers to himself, a vigilante ex-solder.”

Ben Bracken – sarcastic, witty, strongly patriotic. Despite having been thrown into jail, and wrongly so, Ben breaks out of it only to save his nation from a mysterious threat looming in the skies. A plane carrying a cargo that someone – someone powerful – is trying to intercept has just crashed into the sea, and Ben was there waiting for it. However, the plane turns out to be empty, except for one lady passenger who is missing her head. Why, and how, was she beheaded? What was the plane carrying that is so sought after?

What follows is an action-packed thriller in which Ben Bracken has to chase answers, be chased, hide, kick drowning in the face, and battle snakes, just to name a few. A healthy dollop of forensics and science comes into play when Amina, a talented doctor, joins Ben on his hair-raising adventures.

But can Ben really trust his friends and the people he works with? Are they truly concerned about Great Britain’s safety… or is there something else?

Narrated with page-turning mastery, fresh humor and vivid detail that brings the world of Ben Bracken to life, Apex is a stunning crime thriller that will no doubt accompany its companion book at the top of the bestseller lists. Fans of fast-paced crime thrillers will not want to miss this wonderful installment to the Ben Bracken series. – GoodbooksToday.com Reviews

GBT Featured Book Review: Regular People of The Weak by Shareef Mabrouk

Regular People of The Weak: A Rebel’s Experience With The Spiritual Chief of Poets
Shareef Mabrouk (Author)
( 5+ Reviews )

The title of this book is enough to make an individual want to open its pages just to see what it is all about. One might expect a volume of poetry, a historical reference to a long-ago time in history or a deep, philosophical volume on metaphysical powers. None of these could be further from the truth.

“Regular People of The Weak: A Rebel’s Experience With The Spiritual Chief of Poets” is an account of a period in an individual’s life and a story of how chance meetings and random occurrences make him into a stronger and more resilient person. At the beginning of the book, Zackery is a selfish, immature teen who wants nothing but to party, spend his parents money and consume massive amounts of prescription drugs with his friend Anthony.

When assigned to community service after an unfortunate run-in with the law, his out-of-control lifestyle meets its match when he is assigned to care for Neolin, a paraplegic American Indian. This cantankerous older man challenges him to use his mind, form his own opinions and learn how to stand up for something he believes in.

This story of how one young man found his way could be the story of any of us. It is all about choices, chance encounters, and growing up, no matter what your age. While Neolin made a huge difference in Zackery’s life, it was also apparent that Zackery in turn had an equally positive impact on Neolin as he helped him face reality and take charge of his own life.

This book is an easy read. Shareef Mabrouk has a very laid-back style of writing that makes it seem as if he is conversing with us as we make our way through the pages. “Regular People of The Weak: A Rebel’s Experience With The Spiritual Chief of Poets” is an inspirational story about a very extraordinary person who undergoes a subtle intervention that takes his past life and turns it into something good. – GoodbooksToday.com Reviews
